Flash Interior was built from real construction experience.

Sam started on the tools, working in GIB fixing, stopping and painting. Those early years taught him the value of good workmanship, attention to detail and getting the final finish right.

One of the early highlights of his career was working as a GIB stopper on The Block NZ, where he experienced a fast-moving project with tight deadlines, multiple trades and constant activity on site.

As his career developed, Sam wanted to understand construction beyond interior finishing. He deliberately moved into estimating and Quantity Surveying, then gained experience working with main contractors and developers across multi-storey apartments, commercial projects, shops and cinemas.

This gave him exposure to the wider construction process, from earthworks, piling and foundations through to interiors, finishing and final handover.

That wider experience helped shape what Flash Interior is today: a construction company that understands both the work on site and the planning, pricing and commercial side behind it.

Sam remains closely involved in the business, from pricing through to final handover, because the quality of the work and the way a project is managed both matter.
